Urban Climbing Chapter #1

Hello my name is Thomas Little and I am blogging about something called Urban Climbing. It is where climbers from all over the world will visit different countries just to climb the highest peaks of each city they go to while taking a picture with it. Some climbers can go to the next step and start doing stunts with nothing on them to keep them safe these are called "Daredevils". Urban Climbing is also known as Buildering. This is not something I would get into but I am very interested to know more about it and why people do it, so I will be researching all of the internet to find out more about this Daredevilish sport.

Most climbers do it because they love the buzz they get when they are miles up in the sky, it maybe dangerous for people but some people love that danger they put their selfs in.  The main place climbers go is to Russia, St Petersburg as if has the highest buildings in the city out of everywhere else.

Alain Robert has achieved world-wide renown and is widely regarded as the greatest of all builderers. In 2011, he climbed the world's tallest building, the 830-meter Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai. On that occasion, he used a harness in accordance with safety procedure, but most of his climbs have been free soloing. Other well-known structures that Robert has climbed include the Empire State Building in New York City, the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the Sears Tower in Chicago, the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai, The Doha Torch in Doha, Taipei 101 in Taiwan, and each of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has also climbed a number of famous landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower and the Montparnasse Tower in France, and the Sydney Opera House in Australia. Robert has been arrested at the top of many of the major buildings he has climbed. He was born in France in 1962 as Robert Alain Phillipe, and is popularly known as "the French Spider-Man" and the “Human Spider”.

Buildering (Urban Climbing) could easily come to a passion for some people who train to do it, it takes a lot of training and a lot of agility and you have to be very fit. Not many people get into it as it can be very dangerous and could easily slip up and fall and really hurt yourself.
